Susan, I checked out your Santa Rosa link and ordered some inexpensive plants that I wanted to add to the garden including some Musa Basjoo banana. I will keep these indoors till next spring. They will stay outside in the pot until the cool weather arrives. I overwintered the banana out side one year. It got very big but, succumbed to excessive moisture the following year. Lesson learned. I will keep some indoors just in case. This pic is from 2010 I believe.

Those are beautiful Mike! I got Musa Basjoo banana last year and it croaked during a frost.

I already gave up on that idea because I have to use that area for a pollinator of mine which gets bigger than I knew. I was happy to find the Stokes Aster, which I hear is a blooming machine!
