Doris, cuttings make fat roots eventually.

Hello, Vijayendra! Welcome!

If seedlings have their tap root cut off, the feeder roots will develope. I have several plants that the fat root part is almost a caudex. Ii is easy to see where the roots were trying to go straight outwards, but they were stopped abruptly by the pot they were in. I am always thinking about making some sort of spiral with newspaper and peatmoss, like a jelly roll cake? to put inside a pot so the roots will follow the layers of the newspaper. Huh?
