STonyah said:Kareoke I have 7 brugmansia in the ground, 38 in pots. I have no idea what the names or what hybrids they are. Two years ago I developed a severe pain in my lower abdomen. The diagnoses was prostate cancer PSA 9.1 and type 2 diabetes. I could hardly walk or drive taking Oxy and GABA plus insulin. I read every label for sugar and had a month of radiation therapy along with xray, bone scan, and 2 anal probes. I said all that to say this. while I couldn't walk a lot, I started to get hooked on brugmansia seeds. I soaked them, peeled them and rooted them in paper cups, then planted them in clay pots. The first time one of the bloomed nothing could knock the smile off my face. Now my PSA is 1.22 and
in the last 6 months I've only used insulin twice. That is why I'm so passionate about Brugs. They gave me purpose.

I am so happy for you,I hated losing all my plants but I had reaction to drugs in hospital and it ruptured the tendons in my legs and made walking hard, my problem last year was age [86] since then I have also had cancer surgery, so now other than the brug named for me[ Mrs Doris] I rely on looking at all the pictures.
Hopefully I will be around next year and can share some cuttings from my plant.
