Elena,

Cutting the scape won't keep the plant from blooming next year - and may help it since cutting the scape will help the little plant save energy. It's pretty close to winter - and the scape shouldn't have much of a chance to finish blooming, so I think I would cut it off and let the plant get back to settling in for the winter. It has a lot of little roots to grow before freezing weather. Smiling
