Well, what I look for in a garden plant is....Early morning opener, late day closer, colorfast(this is a big one), flower opens completly and doest get hung up, rebloomer, positioning of flower on stem (flowers that point straight up you can see that well), good substance ( not tissue papery), scape height ( doesnt bloom in the foliage) Strong scapes, so the flowers dont fall over.
