Wow, 30 miles north makes that much difference? I'm guessing the 8 am temp diff is around 10 degrees!\

I used to say that if EVERYONE wore short sleeves outside, our body heat would postpone winter. But I don't say that any more, despite a thicker layer of under-the-skin body insulation.

When I lived in Boston, it was: "If you don't like the weather, just wait 15 minutes."

When I visisted Honolulu, they siad that the timing of the brief afternoon rain shower was so predictable that they could give directions using it: "Go straight down this street, then take a right at the rain shower".
