Marilyn, the Bastogne are beautiful. I truely love them. But they are Triumph tulips and Triumph class tulips never return for me. So if I want them again, I have to replant. But then each garden is different so maybe you will have better luck on the return than I did. Darwins return better but then that is hit and miss also. One that does return really well of the Darwin Class is Big Chief. A beautiful large flowered tulip with strong return.

They are mostly sold out now but this year Scheepers added all sorts of new Greigii class tulips. Ones that are taller and from the pictures look Stunning. The best part is that Greigii class tulips return.

Fining classes of tulips that will be truly perennial has turned out to be a very good thing for me as I have been able to plant more tulips than ever before this year. I LOVE tulips. But having to replant everything each year is just impossible. So I have been branching out to new to me classes of tulips. Not that I gave up my "fancy" tulips that I always love to plant. I always do some of them also.
