Some are really good at returning like Big Chief. Others return forever. I have some old darwins here for 20 years. But many return but dwindle in numbers. So first spring lovely, all the tulips, second spring still good but not as many, third spring poor showing and you have better replant of you want it took look like it did in year one. That has been the cycle for me for years.
