I am betting it is the groundhog but I would think he would eat more than a few here and there. It is strange. I think it is small because the patio is deck high and the deer never come up. The only thing I see on the patio is chipmunks, I saw a possum once.
The only way I have been able to stop the feeding is put them up on a table.
