Oooops! I was using the first example: add 1oz. per 1gallon pot.
But since the real deal is "1 tsp per gallon pot"
then it should be "1/8 TEASPOON per 4 inch pot".
As Woofie said.
Edited to add micro-measuring spoon links .
I use these tiny spoons to divide seeds for traing. Hopefully you need to water 2 or 4 4" pots, so you can measure once and done, using a normal measuring spoon!
These five Norpro oval shapes are easier to sneak into a spice jar if it has a small "spoon" opening". But they have funny names like "drop", "pinch", etc.
And different customers have different opinions about how much each one holds!
And I found that some of the "oval" and "square" DASH spoons do hold different amounts.

Norpro customer comments:
tad is 1/4 tsp (or one guy claims 1/55th)
dash is 1/8th teaspoon or 1/12th
pinch is 1/16th
smidgen is 1/32nd
drop is 1/64th
Damesco sells a squarish-scoop, but they seem now to sell only 3 spoons, not 4. And since they claim these exact sizes, they might be right:
dash (1/8 tsp),
pinch (1/16 tsp),
smidgen (1/32 tsp)

Amco sells a more expensive 4-spoon set but I haven't tried them:
