I like the chicken fat, too. But I know what some of you mean when you say daylilies have trouble opening on a hot day when they have the chicken fat trait. Mine tend to stick together and only partially open by the end of the bloom season because the temps have climbed here in my zone. But I do like that trait regardless ....
