Well, I went out to the orchid house only to find that my camera battery was 100% dead. So you'll have to wait until tomorrow, I suppose. The good news is I found lots more buds! My vanda, Kulwaldee Fragrance #22 has a second spike on it that I didn't see the other day. Then, there was another vanda that has a bud spike (it's Charles Goodwin mixed with something). My cattleya that was in bud opened up and that was why I went out there in the first place. I have another cattleya called 'Hawaiian Wizard' that has a bud on it. It looks like maybe there were two but one dried up. Last time it bloomed it had three but one got eaten by rodents. And finally, my little Neostylis has a tiny spike on it! I'm so excited because I fell in love with that plant and it seems like I've been waiting forever for it to bloom again. So expect more pictures from me over the next month!

I really think this weather change has stimulated the plants into blooming. I understand why they would sulk through the summer - I didn't want to be outside either! When I thought about it, quite a few of my vandas bloomed last winter because every time I had to move them to the garage there was always at least two in bloom.
