Ursula, a detail you might want to know. I looked up Packchong on OrchidWiz and it doesn't exist. They are all spelled Pakchong.
As far as the Max. tenuifolia, I did repot in a deeper pot and lowered it in the medium but the key for me is to stake it with some thin stakes (I have three) and tie it up at about a third of the way up to keep the side pieces from falling out of the pot. In other words, I treat it like my floppy garden plants.
