Thanks, Michele for that information. Trial and error .... I have learned which seedlings thrive and which ones die after the second season. But not before they bloom. I use the pollen (if I like the bloom) to cross with a more southern daylily. I try to save some of the desired genes to perhaps produce a more southern plant in the next generation ....
