Love this idea for I also use logs, sticks anything that can be written on, I got lucky the other day some contractor had dropped about 50 or 60 metal sticks with red flags attached for advertisement. Well some good somaritan stuck them in the ground all along the road hoping the person would come back. But he never did so I collected about 20 and used them as markers so when the snow gets deep i will still know where not to step on my newly planted little daylillies and such. Love theese as markers.
