While it is a blessing to see warm temps, it sure is sad to see the spring bulb blooms melt away so quickly. Some years we get those ideal springs when the warming is gradual and nights remain cool, and the blooms seem to last and last. But just as often it goes from winter to summer, and they're all up, bloomed out, and gone before you know it.
Rita, I forgot to mention, I kinda wondered if the Lupines that were in bud when they were planted would be even shorter lived than usual. They're not a plant that I've seen or heard of being sold in that stage of development. I've had that happen with Rudbeckia purchased as a potted plant, in bloom. They're also short lived, and those I had planted just finished blooming and melted away. I think you'll see better results from seed and from the Bluestone plants.
