My Dad.
It's not that he gardened a lot - he did some as time permits. We had one clump of Iris which my grandfather hybridized way back in the 50's. We had a row of peonies. Always had tomato plants, and although we never had daylilies at our house, there was a daylily farm next to my grandparent's house in western PA - which we acquired a portion of many years ago.
Except for occasions, I never gardened much when I was younger & raising a family. Not enough energy and time.
But now I have the time, and still not enough energy! Now in my Dad's memory, I have a row of peonies. I love the iris, and have become addicted to daylilies. ~Jan
