When you do run out of the newpapers, you could always go to the newspaper office and purchase their end of roll paper. This is what was left on the press after printing, so there is no ink on it. It usually is rather cheap to purchase. When I was raising collies, I would purchase several rolls for when the puppies were around 3 weeks old, so I could mop up all the pee/and other from the puppies.... Didn't have to worry about them white feet turning black from the ink in the newspaper.
