Sandi, hope you're not having the wind we've got here today. Sheesh! It's under 40 degrees (yet) with 20-30 mph gusts. Not supposed to warm much past 50. I'm frozen, it's 61 degrees in the house, curtains flapping. I was fine until I took my son to school. It was 90 in the car. Just glad I'm not still in OH today. Yay Alabama! Your weather sounds within a few degrees of forecast for here.

Since spring, I've been combining individual plants into 'party pots' so there were so many less to bring in this year, but they are bigger. I counted 61 pots in the house, about a dozen in the shed. Some in the shed I just want to 'plant' in the ground for stuff that can come back from the roots next spring. A few should come in but had ants. I put 2 of them under water, completely, for an hour on one, and 2 hours on another, and the ants were still in there! That blew me away that they could live under water that long, and that it didn't make them leave. It worked in previous years. I guess I'll have to repot them if the ants don't decide to leave, but I didn't want to disturb anything again until spring. Hopefully the cold will cause the ants to go back under ground. I took a pic of them crawling around under water, but it's not much to look at if you weren't there. You can't tell it's under water.

Does anyone else's doorway make plants expand to 3x the size they were outside? These plants were NOT this big outside!
The golden rule: Do to others only that which you would have done to you.
