Sounds a bit like our welfare system. LOL

I guess I have never seen any damage done by these "sugar ants" because I don't allow them to colonize well. As soon as I discover them I treat the potting medium. If treating with the boric acid solution, after 24 hours I would drench the potting medium just like I do when using Orthene. That should eliminate most of the boric acid residue.
