Thanks for the confirmation Michele. I wasn't positive about that, so it's good to know. I bought a seedling a couple of years ago that hasn't been registered, but it did not bloom in my garden first. That is why I was thinking that you need to have it bloom in your own garden first, in order to register it. It didn't seem ethical for me to register it anyway, no matter what the rules state. I'd love to get it registered though, and have planned on asking the hybridizer to do that, and I'll pay the cost for it. It's totally worthy, but it's not my decision to make. I just keep forgetting to ask the hybridizer if they would be willing to do it.

As for joining the AHS, Glen lives in Australia, where they have their own AHS, so the rules may be different there. Not sure what the rules are for someone registering a daylily with the US AHS that is from another country. This is all so interesting, and I'm learning a lot!
