Yes, now would be an ideal time in your area for planting them in the garden. Just make sure to plant them in a spot where they'll get good drainage. If you're lucky, you might even find some little baby bulblets along with the mother bulbs; plant those too. And don't forget to label and mark the spot so you don't accidentally step on them before they emerge next spring.
