Thanks Mike. No, I used to write popular natural history articles, and do some film, television and radio, but mostly research papers. However, writing is a lot of work with little financial rewards. I am now perfecting being a grumpy old man with no money but lots of daylilies. The last two are unfortunately interrelated. A big order should arrive tomorrow - fingers crossed. Can hardly wait to see what I got and tell everyone!
The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.
