There is something about red daylilies that makes me think of going to a paint store and looking for "white" paint. There are what seems like a hundred different whites! And in daylilies, there are at least a hundred different shades of red. It also seems that whether it is the camera or the growing conditions, the same cultivar may be seen in a few different shades too. Here are a few reds from my garden that I don't think I've seen posted by others.

Cimarron Rose, Salter, 2005

Depths of My Heart, T. Bell, 2008

Dragon Slayer, Polston, 2007

Iwanna Piranha, J. Kinnebrew, 2006

Jasmine Rossi, Petit, 2008

Mary Lena, J. Rice. 2006

Nina Verhaert, Abajian, 2005

Run for the Roses, S. Holley, 2010

Ten Carat Ruby, S. Holley, 2010
