It was said to be eaten by the early gold miners as a source of vitamin C. It can be used in salads and is suppose to be quite tasty, somewhat like purslane.
It is such a sweet and delicate looking plant, but seems to be no trouble at all to grow here in the Pacific Northwest.

Wish you could have been with me when I found it. Maybe we can go there when you come next spring?
