Larry, I have looked for similar edges under my photos. Edges with the gold plated effect I had found in the varieties Rose Fireglow and John Peat. The expression is very weather dependent.

Sue, it's great that you speak German and have made pictures of daylilies with crust. When I have question about registration or texts to ATP, I know now who I can ask for help.

For me it is also very interesting to know which varieties have a wide sugar crust. With the right varieties, I then maybe appropriate crossing partners for ADO. And can the sugar crust for descendants improve. Maybe your pictures/informations are sure to help me.

Glen, when I see your answers and your profile, it occurs to me that I have something of Australia.

From an established German breeder "Tamberg" I bought a "Citrina vespertina". Mr. Tamberg had this species from a person in Australia. This person had the Citrina from Japan. Unfortunately not in AHS/ATP.
And Larry, this Citrina is not one like you have (also diffrent to Altissima). Yours look like a "Citrina Baroni" . My (... vespertina) Is 55 "tall. It will be a part of my crossing program to breed tall DL.
