As far as the psi, I don't have a clue. I know the one I got, 280 gph is probably way bigger than what I needed since I had to set it at it's lowest level - at it's highest level it was blowing the net pots out of the top. I'm pretty sure I can use this pump for my big machine when I build it and get a less powerful one for the the bucket machine.
