The greenhouse comes with a regular hinge system that requires you to get up on the ladder to open and close them.

But those $26 vent openers have sealed cylinders that have a gas inside that expands when the temperature rises. As the gas expands it drives the piston up and causes the vent to automatically open when the temperature rises. When evening comes and the temperature plummets, the gas contracts and brings the piston back down, closing the vent automatically.

In other words, the $26 vent opener means no ladder. Green Grin!
