Thanks Rita & Ann- I rescued her from the unwanted animal shelter almost 13 years ago. She ran to me as soon as I saw her, and it has been non-stop relationship & affection since. My daughter got her that teddy bear for a Christmas gift several years ago, and she carried it all over the place. She even placed it in (or near) her bed at night. I need to get over being so sentimental, but I just cannot break the bonds. And to think I'm a senior now!
