Welcome rositoes! I envy your tomatoes!

It rained all night and drizzled today until about noon. The sun came out and we'll have sun and 70s through Christmas. I think our rain has made it to Houston by now. Looks like the coast will have storms all the way through MS and AL and beyond. Hate to see bad weather when families are traveling. Our neighborhood is like a ghost town. Lots of folks going to visit family. We took a family of seven at 5AM to the airport yesterday to catch flight to Hawaii. Had to take our car and truck to fit all their luggage and people!

We live off Loop 360 and it's wall to wall cars as far as the eye can see both ways. Merry Christmas! It's nearly impossible to get downtown because there's shopping on both ends of the loop, and downtown. Plus, the Trail of Lights in Zilker Park is going on and all the arteries feeding into the park are backed up starting about 6 PM. We're going to venture out to dinner, but somewhere locally.

The hoops are holding up to the wind and cool. We've only used the heaters a few nights. DH had to meet the roofers at the lake yesterday. The roof on the boathouse was damaged in a storm not long ago. This was their first chance to replace it. DH said the grass was brown and all the trees were bare. It gets a lot colder there in winter. Our grass is still green here. I have hibiscus and a few other things blooming. We'll get our cold freeze in January.
