The rootball-moving part would be fine, but you'll probably want to prune them back hard at the same time to prevent them from attacking you. Is the heavy pruning part ok now? Anybody? Will that force new growth that will then get zapped by the next cold spell?

I have one by the front sidewalk that has to get moved as well, and I might wait a couple weeks.
