i'm just here for a minute, but they didnt recommend Lady Banks roses for this area either and I saw new growth on it yesterday. I meant to wrap it or bring it in for the winter, but cold weather hit quick, so then I just held my breath.

Lady banks is a small, soft yellow, fluffy rose (in my mind, anyhow) but its a GREAT climber in the south. not your traditional petals is what I am trying to describe.
I planted it and (i think) Phyllis Bide last spring and both are growing well.

over here we dont get below zero for long periods.

be back when i can.

oh...no change on my uncle. its been almost 48 hours now. unresponsive. no brain activity except clusters which they say are seizures. i'm not going today but we have family in town. its been a long week.
My next house will have no kitchen - just vending machines and a large trash can.
