We are under winter a winter storm warning and expected 10-12 inches of snow. Yeck, I hate snow and really hate it when we get a lot of snow.

Yesterday I watched TV all day. I watched a really great show on Nat Geo Wold Channel called Dr Pol. It is about this country vet. They follow him and his staff as they treat animals. He has office hours and then he does farm calls. So I found all the farm calls really interesting.

There seems to be a lot of dairy farms there in the area as cows were treated a lot. Lots of times to deliver a calf where things were going wrong. other times on stomach issues with the cows. I saw many calves getting delivered and I learned about cow guts and stomachs. Hilarious!

Reality of raising and caring for a dairy herd of cows looks nothing like my fantasy of farm life. Things go wrong, calves don't just pop out, vet has to deliver often dead calf or calves. Crying
