It's possible, Dave. Although I seldom actually "read" books anymore I tend to use my favorites as reference books as well as Google for info from knowledgeable sites.

I first heard of hugelkulture two years ago. Since then I've kept my eyes open for where to start a bed or two, how to dig it out (fairly simply, if possible) as well as looking at where big trees have blown down in storms, leaving uprooted root systems and big holes to work with. Seems like the perfect place to start, eh?

My reading of biodynamics/permaculture are minimal compared to an expert but it is certainly easy to incorporate what one can here and there as time goes on. As usual, gardening, in any form or technique, sure is a learning process; no doubt that is what has kept my attention all this time.

Shoe (off to cultivate a few rows of korn and think about hugelkulture while being sung to by the squeaky wheel of my wheel hoe.)
