Maybe a Jewel orchid would work in a glass ball? They don't mind staying pretty moist all the time.

So right about the Tillandsias, down here they grow on the tree branches and absolutely do perch on the wires, and grow on the screening of pool cages, as well. Lots of air and drainage are necessary.

The snow sounds so lovely, but I'm still glad not to have to experience it first-hand. We have a lovely sunny day but very chilly and windy too. It's cold here when the high doesn't get over 60 . .. Smiling I have many orchids in the kitchen today. Any with blooms or buds got to come indoors last night.
