I feel your pain. When we had the last polar vortex which dropped our temps to 16, we had just gotten icynene insulation put on/in our old farm house. Because we are pier and beam, they went underneath and covered the underside as well, or so we thought. The temps dropped and we turned off water everywhere on the farm but the house. For almost three weeks Dave and I replumbed. Every time we thought we were good, we found another cracked line. The company left the lines exposed and didn't tell us.
Now we have two low point drains, one where the water comes out of the ground, and one at the back where it comes out of our Rinnai water heater. We just open the drain spigot and one in the house.
People, like sheep, tend to follow a leader - occasionally in the right direction. Alexander Chase
