But the last one threw me -- why is it not a plicata? Because of the genes? If so, then the only way to be sure about an Iris's designation is to know its parentage? Boy if that's the case, I'm in trouble. I have all I can do to remember the names of the ones in my gardens -- I will NEVER be able to remember the breeding.
