I agree with Bev. Terracotta is nice because it dries quickly, and in humid climates or for those of us who chronically over-water our succulents, it can be a life saver. Now for me, who has humidity levels typically in the teens, it means a lot of extra watering. But that's an unusual case. I waterproof all of my terracotta pots, for that reason and that unless they are really well made (not typical) they tend to have a kinda short lifespan, especially if they are watered a lot.
But the color against green... mmmmm....
Oh, and WELCOME Jeff - watch out for those glochids on your O. microdasys - I can't believe they're popularly known as bunny ears - more like shark's teeth, lol...
