I'm pretty sure that I've lost some milkweeds...among other plants. It got down under 15° one night during the polar vortex thing...it was only forecast to be 20° that night. Those forecasts are only educated guesses...I already knew that. I had several GF chrysalises in my unheated shed...thought they were probably dead, but I noticed today that one had emerged. Don't know how it could survive now if I release it. All the flowers are gone here. I wonder if it wouldn't be better to at least release it somewhere where it didn't get as extremely cold as it did in this hilly area.
