Angie, I love the Red white and blue idea. what type of rose are they planted next to? Climbing?
All my clematis that are big enough , I took a branch, laid it on the ground and put some soil over a small area. Keeping them watered. Everyone says they will grow roots and I will have some clematis to trade next year.
My Polish spirit did this on its own and I've sent out a couple starts of it. I moved one start to a new area, I thought it died. Then this spring it appeared again. Of course now I want to move it again ... not sure if I dare, its too small.
