I have read where others use large plastic bags around the plant filled with leaves. I think it's the leaves' insulating quality working here. Unless, like one of my boxes, it blows over on Friday night!

I even placed rocks on top because it was so windy. It looks like 2 large cordyline/Ti Plants will have to start growing all over again.
