Hi everyone. I have a perennial garden that is fenced in and am going to move the fence back about 4 feet all the way around. The problem is that I have clematis growing on 3 sides of the fence. Anyone know what would be the best way to do this? I can gently take them off the old fence, but I want to move them to the new fence. Should I wait until the fall? Should I cut them down to the ground? I have never moved one before so I really don't know how to do this. Any advice would be appreciated.
