That's a very nice setup you have David. My doors still work well after a couple of years and the added weather stripping helped seal them quite well. The one problem I did have was condensation freezing in the lower track, but a tablespoon of table salt cured that. I have an Anderson 6' sliding door I plan to build into the front this summer since I think a lot of my heat loss still occurs through the doors. That will also allow me to use the screen door to keep unwanted insects out. I have my shade cloth on a long piece of bamboo that I can roll up and store in the barn. When in use it just rolls down to cover the sun ward side and roof. Since Holly saw your shade cloth setup she has added that to my to do list. Hilarious! This winter has just been brutal here with heating cost adding up quickly, I plan to make some changes to the north facing walls to address that.
