Joe,
It really isn't a brushmark (my cheat). The lily just happens to have a lack of pink pigment in the area of the flower where a brushmark might have appeared. Note the small spots towards the center of the flower. That would be the true color of the 'missing' brushmark.
The other pink lily with it in the photo, the one with the darker brushmark, is a sibling.
