Glen, in some of his older catalogs Dan Hansen lists Skinwalker as a sev, so perhaps it does act as a semi-evergreen in southern climates ( Dan is in FL). Even though it is registered as a dormant, I found it not hardy here in my zone 4 garden after trying to grow it several times.
