I agree with Char. I would try Skinwalker in your climate. The first time I purchased it here in the north, it died. I purchased it again and I got a larger clump of it and that helped it carry through our winter. Have had that one now for about 3 years with no problems. But, I believe it does have some semi-evergreen genetics in it.
