Please help me ID this ginger. It has deeply corduroy textured, variegated leaves with reddish purple reverses. Got to about 3ft tall last summer, and in the fall put out the little red flowering shoots from the base. Each day the red shoots would have new tiny ivory flowers popping out the sides, similar to the way the Pinecone Ginger (zingiber zerumbet) blooms. But the flower shoots were only about 4 to 6in tall. The plant kept pumping out flower shoots until nearly the whole pot was full of them. It has now died back to the ground, and I shook it out of the pot to divide it this afternoon. If I'm going to share divisions with my friends, I'd like to be able to tell them what it is. Thanks.
