Wow, wow, wow! I'm crazy about your garden. It reminds me of the display gardens at some of my favorite local nurseries. One of them, in fact, has those very same dogs. There usually are four or five Australian Shepherds on the nursery grounds because everyone that works there seems to have one. They all bring them to work. I wonder if it's a hiring requirement.
The yellow rhododendrons are spectacular.
I have one of those dreaded blue herons too. It sits on my roof and waits for a flash of orange before swooping down on the pond. It flies away when I come outside and sounds almost like a helicopter as it takes off from the roof.
