I assume then, that you know that broad leaves that are so apparent in the third pic do not belong to the flower. (C. virginica has the linear leaves.)

I agree it is C. virginica, but might I suggest that you caption that particular data base entry as such, so viewers are not confused.
C. sibirica has similar broad leaves.
