Was outside for a minute when the two neighborhood boys who always want work stopped by with their great-aunt. February 15 (if weather is acceptable), both boys will be here and will be set to digging up this who-knows-what-it-is-or-where-it-came-from grass out of the new memorial bed and the area next to it where the water meter is located. So, they will be helping me keep *my* resolution.
Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

The boys showed up yesterday morning--20 minutes later, I fired one of them and sent him home. Happy to teach someone what I want done and how I want it done. How else will they know? But pay someone to play in the dirt with the worms and leaves and other stuff? Unh-uh. Especially after he had already worked for me once before and knew what was expected, and I had already told him twice yesterday morning that I expected work for the money. (To be fair, I did give him a little because he came.) So, I got down on the ground and pulled up grasses in the memorial bed with the other kid. Took the remainder of the alloted two hours, but I think we got 99.9% of it. Today, my back hurts, my hands are stiff, my legs are giving way, and my biceps are burning. Howsomeever, it is done and we discovered several plants under all the grass and Icemaggedon debris still green and happy. Which makes *me* happy.
